Maintenance
Check out our tips to prevent many common issues and extend the life of your Zanussi Refrigerator.
Regular Internal Cleaning
Clean the inside and accessories with warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5ml to 0.5 litre of water). Rinse and dry thoroughly. Avoid using detergents, abrasive powders, highly perfumed cleaning products, or wax polishes as these can damage the surface and leave a strong smell. Clean the drain hole of the water trough regularly to ensure the defrost water flows freely.
External Cleaning
Wash the outer cabinet with warm soapy water. Ensure the appliance is unplugged before cleaning.
Changing the Light Bulb
If the interior light fails, switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the electricity supply. Replace the bulb with a new 15-watt bulb, ensuring the light cover is securely in place afterward.
Defrosting
The refrigerator defrosts automatically each time the compressor stops. Regularly clean the water discharge hole in the V-shaped drip collector to prevent overflow. Use the special cleaner provided and ensure the drain hole is never obstructed.
Ventilation and Positioning
Ensure the appliance is positioned with adequate space for ventilation as per the installation instructions. The back of the appliance should be close to a wall but with the required distance for ventilation.
